camera slows over npc in first person - combat stance

[Back2friday]

idk why but every time i start a new game i find a new problem.

Anyway, in first person mode, whenever i have my weapon/magic out and walk and turn at the same time over a npc (seeing its name talk to on hud) , im getting weird stuttering (no fps drop just weird camera stuttering) Does NOT happen in third person. 

If im standing still and move camera from side to side over the npc then it does not happen, but i do notice that the camera slows down a bit. This kinda sounds like an auto aim issue, but i can not think of a mod that adds this. I know Skyrim configuration Menu mod has some auto aim assistance, but i disabled that feature. 

Does anyone know what i even mean lol. Its kinda difficult to explain without showing a video.

Skyrim has Consolitis, like practically every game released in the past 20 years. Input checking is bound to your fps, the less fps you have, the more sluggish the controls get. Its such a simple thing to get right, but no one knows how to do it anymore.

SkyUI/MCM does not implement autoaim. Skyrim was made for consoles and casual players, and thus forces autoaim on everyone. Autoaim in Skyrim doesn't move your cursor for you, it simply makes your arrow/spell fly somewhere other than where you aimed.

 

So what I'm saying is, measure your fps and see what happens when you hover over an NPC.

no no this is also happens in interiors even with just 1 npc. Performance is good at 60fps. Only exteriors maybe a drop once a while probably because of Community Shaders or some addon.

Not talking about Skyui. I said Skyrim Cconfiguration Menu mod. That is another mod. 

 

I should take a look if it happens on a vanilla game.

Hm, not sure. Would have to see this issue for myself I think.

 

Right now all I can say is its either Papyrus, or a mod with a dll. Papyrus can react to the cursor hovering over things, and a dll can do whatever. But I realize this is a bit like saying "a mod is causing this issue", so that's not helpful at all. Also afaik the Papyrus performance profiler (mod) no longer works, so we can't use that either.
