Certain smp hairs crashes game when selected

I recently decided to add [Dint999] HDT HairPack (1.50) SMP Patch - SSE, [Dint999] KS-SG-HG hairs HDT,  [dint_999]Hairpack01 to  have more choices for YPS to choose from but many of the hairstyles from the mods instantly stretch  to infinity when selected either in racemenu or with YPS and then CTDs. I'm pretty sure I've built their collisions in body slide unless specific ones are hiding from me.

Select the hairstyle, exit racemenu, return to racemenu, and the problem is fixed . Collision head, not detected by racemenu ( I don't know why ) ,

the alternative is to create your own bald character and use the hairstyles with AddItemMenu ,

To avoid removal during the game, uncheck the hairdo from any stripping provided by the mods , example Bathing in Skyrim/Yamete Redux/Sexlab

Things I'd start with:

  1. RaceMenu and/or FSMP version. You probably don't have any options for RM, but for FSMP there should be multiple.
  2. SSE EngineFixes fixes; specifically the memory allocator one, causes conflicts with RM for some people.
  3. Disable the Utility shader in CS.
  4. View the meshes for the headparts that make up the hairstyle in NifSkope. Make sure they look like they should.
  5. Consider changing the default hairstyle of the player actor to one that crashes the game when selected in RM. If it works outside of RM, it would seem quite likely the issue is partly in RM.

Irrelevant. Overlapping collision shapes cause jittering, missing collision shapes cause clipping. If you're seeing the so called Bethesda Hedgehog where a mesh gets stretched to infinity in all random directions, like a Tamriel-sized spike ball, you're looking at something that's scrambling the positions of some (or all) vertices.

Not sure how I'm suppose to do that if selecting it crashes the game instantly.

Disable the Utility shader in CS.

I had honestly completely forgot it was installed as it was installed 2 years ago probably without realising it was uncompatible with ENB as I've been using enb all this time meaning CS has been disabled and not been doing anything.

Did this now and they look normal.

I'll try this but I'm not sure it's needed? I'm using YPS fashion which lets me choose different hairstyles when for example using a hairband which doesn't seem to open racemenu at all. When I do it that way I'll have maybe a split second of the game being active before the ctd so I have had the hair in gameplay outside of RM

The alternative is to access the hairstyles with AddItemMenu , or similar mod . If the problem is hair, you will have a CTD , if not, the problem is with racemenu

CS is supposed to disable ENB, so it's probably the other way around.

That probably makes this more complicated.

I'm out of ideas.

Well, I've now tested [dint_999]HairPack 1 & 2 and they work, it's specificly [dint_999]KS-SG-HG hairs HDT so I'll look into that as it seems like I might just have made a noob mistake and missed the fact it says it's made for LE
