Force a Certain Body for an outfit

I wish to make the chastity bra from Devious Devices Assets force a certain body. I am doing this because currently I am in the process of converting the body (converting HDT to SMP bodies in LE, so default female body is SMP while most outfits are HDT), and I needed a stopgap measure for aligning the body with the bra. If you are familiar with DD, think of how DDX's Breast Yoke forces a certain body when worn.

The issue currently is when wearing the chastity bra, the bra is using the HDT skeleton/physics, while the body is using the SMP one. I need the body to be forced to use an HDT body.

I had thought the solution would have been to make it like all of my other outfits; which is to add an HDT body to the outfit, and thus force the game to use an HDT body with the said outfit. Now when I try this with the chastity bra, it does not force the body, only the bra is HDT while the body is the SMP one as the game considers my character naked and uses the default body. I am now thinking if this has to do with the chastity bra's equipment slot and that why the body is not changing from SMP to HDT.

You need to clean up your terminology because it's difficult to understand what you're actually trying to accomplish.

This makes no sense.  HDT is not a thing.  HDT is a person (HydrogensaysHDT) and the author of HDT-SMP (Skinned Mesh Physics) and HDT-PE (Physics Extensions).  You need to be more clear if you are trying to distinguish between HDT-SMP and HDT-PE.  Referring to HDT-PE as "HDT" is not correct and not helpful.  It will be difficult for anyone to help you if you don't understand this.

Again, it's not clear what you're trying to do.  Assuming you mean that you want the outfit to use a HDT-PE physics config instead of HDT-SMP, all you need to do is edit the nif files (_0 and _1) and change the NiStringExtraData name to "HDT Havok Path" and the Data field to the path of the HDT-PE xml you use for the body.

As Chocula said as well, colloquially people say HDT for PE because that was the standard for a long time, before SMP came around. Almost everyone says HDT when referring to HDT-PE and SMP when referring to HDT-SMP. If you have a hard time understanding what I am saying because of common terminology and colloquial terms, that's a comprehension problem on your part.

I was quite clear. I need the body to be HDT when wearing a chastity bra. The chastity bra itself is using HDT while the body is SMP. Again, this is because the femalebody in characterassets (default naked body) is using SMP. For other outfits, like armor, they all have HDT currently. When wearing armor, it works as I wish, with the outfit being HDT and the underlying body also being HDT, but when wearing a chastity bra, the body is SMP and not HDT.

The number of people doing something out of ignorance doesn't make it any less ignorant.  Or incorrect.  You're free to call it how you like but if you're not clear, how do you expect people to help you?

I don't use the DD mod, but it sounds like the "chastity bra" doesn't include the body mesh, which it will need to include in order to achieve what you're asking for.  You need the outfit item to replace the body mesh (slot 32) with one that uses the physics method you want.  Do you know how to do this, or would you prefer to ask someone else?  It will require creating or modifying records in the Creation Kit and possibly weighting the item to the body in question to ensure it moves with the body shape included in the .nif.
