Azzhat1138 Posted May 3, 2025 Posted May 3, 2025 I recent downloaded the Nightshade Mistress armor, and am having clipping issues. Obi explains how to correct this, but without knowing what selections to tweak, it doesn't help. Plus I found that moving the sliders in Bodyslide fixes some of the issues I'm having. But without knowing what other sliders to tweak, I'm at a loss. I've posted a pic of the issues and pointed them out in red, so hopefully someone will be able to tell me what I need to adjust. If I need to add any additional information, please don't hesitate to inform me and I will do my best to provide it. I hope someone can help. I thank you for reading this and I hope you have an excellent day!
traison Posted May 3, 2025 Posted May 3, 2025 That seems more like a job for Outfit Studio if you ask me. Open the gloves project (assuming they're a separate thing) and add your reference body. Deselect all sliders, select all sliders. Make sure the glove mesh/shape is selected on the right. Hit Ctrl+C, leave the default as they are. Delete the reference body and any other body parts that may have come with it. Save the project. Close OS. Restart BS and build your gloves. Test in game. If issues are gone, repeat for other clipping bits.

traison Posted May 3, 2025 Posted May 3, 2025 By default only some sliders are selected, but the "De-/Select Sliders" checkbox is checked, click this twice to actually select all sliders. It's annoyingly misleading.

traison Posted May 3, 2025 Posted May 3, 2025 May want to read my instructions again. Already answered that.

danna233 Posted May 3, 2025 Posted May 3, 2025 Um, you don't have to delete anything. You just need to stretch the meshes in the problem areas with a brush. The third brush stretches the material, the fourth compresses it.

Those are 2 different steps. Leave as default means don't touch anything, hit OK. 3 minutes ago, danna233 said: Um, you don't have to delete anything. The instructions I gave fixes the morphs such that vertices move properly with their sliders. If you don't delete the reference body after adding it, you'll end up with duplicate bodies.

There is no deformation, there is a mesh that has sunk into the body. It just needs to be straightened with a brush.
traison Posted May 3, 2025 Posted May 3, 2025 26 minutes ago, danna233 said: There is no deformation... Right, so look at it this way: you can morph an outfit to fit massive balloon tits without attaching that morph to a slider. This works fine as long as your balloon tits never change shape. It's like a broken clock that's right twice a day. 21 minutes ago, danna233 said: ...there is a mesh that has sunk into the body The question is why is it clipping with the body. My bet is on the sliders just being badly made, you're assuming its always clipping. I always conform to sliders first, then if its still clipping then I basically do what you suggested and permanently move the problematic vertices and redo weightpainting if necessary. One step at a time.
danna233 Posted May 4, 2025 Posted May 4, 2025 Honestly I don't understand what you are talking about, the sliders will be the same unless you decide to insert another body. If you convert the armor to another body the sliders will have to be replaced.
