Need some help on editing armor mesh.

Hello everyone. I'm new in modding and I need some help. I have downloaded the Nord Chainmail Armor for UNP (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/14657/?) and I have tried modding the underwear off the armor but my skills are sorely lacking and checked around but no one has made a pantyless conversion which brings me here. Would anyone be able to help me out? Thanks.

You might be able to to do this yourself on a few minutes depending on whether or not the underwear in question is a stand alone mesh or blended into the armor base. I cannot view the armor in question because i no longer have a nexus account but it should be simple to check yourself using nifscope. Click on each node of the armor mesh until you find the mesh you want to remove, right click, go down to block, and click remove branch. This video gives a visual demonstration using another set of armor but the task is the same. If the armor has the underwear combined into the mesh of the armor as a single unit then you will have to use a program like blender to remove it which is a bit beyond my modding abilities at this time.

Thank you for the explanations. It seems it is combined in a single unit with the armor mesh so i coudn't remove it.

and right now i say: either, welcome to meshing, or, sorry you wont get your armor. youd have to export the armor, then use for example blender to cut away the pieces that disturb you, and depending on how youre working youd have to copy the boneweights from the original and redo the skinning again in case those values get lost during export. which is most likely if you dont use 3dsmax i think.

 

basically you need the same skills youd need for making a complete armor set of your own.

only way to do that is true blender or 3dmax, you have to unpack the bsa first, but i wonder why you want the panty removed, like it make a difrent
