Save Game Refuses to Save – Possible Mod Runtime Error After Long-Term Playthrough

Hey all,

I’ve run into a serious issue with my main Fallout 4 playthrough that I haven’t been able to fix, even after exhausting just about every method I know.

Problem Summary:
I can no longer manually save, quicksave, or autosave during my primary playthrough. The game doesn’t crash, but attempting to save just silently fails. Creating a brand-new game and playing through normally does allow me to save, so the issue appears to be specific to my main playthrough — possibly due to a script overload, mod conflict, or corrupted runtime data.

What I’ve tried so far:

Rolled back to earlier saves from ~1 week ago (same issue persists).

Disabled a few mods to reduce plugin count.

Confirmed that saving works fine in a clean test run.

Verified loose files, F4SE, and mod structure.

Using Buffout 4 with crash logs enabled (crash log included).

Did not use the official next-gen patch; I’m using a downgraded version to keep compatibility with my mod list.

Mod Setup Notes:

I use a mix of LoversLab content and Nexus mods (including AAF and related plugins).

Vortex is my mod manager.

I’m willing to share full plugin/load order details, crash logs, and affected save files upon request — I’ve already bundled everything into a compressed folder. Just let me know if you'd prefer direct message or email.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
