MiyuShinonomiya Posted April 23, 2025 Posted April 23, 2025 (edited) I would really appreciate it if someone could create a Post-Assault event for OSimpleDefeat where the player character is killed (like you would with kill in the console) automatically right after getting up and scripts have been resolved. Nothing complex, I just don't know how to make it myself. OSimpleDefeat comes with Source files so the necessary files should be in there. I have no knowledge or experience creating mods or editing them, and wouldn't have a clue where to begin, so I want to ask for a quick edit to something I see a lot of potential in. I've been testing OSimpleDefeat for a while, and have been frustrated at the lack of any meaningful gameplay purpose it serves, as well as its tendency to get stuck when using its own supported Post-Assault events. However, I've learned recently that killing the player character right after OSimpleDefeat has resolved its scripts and enemies are returned to normal, Shadow of Skyrim takes over without any issues. Using OSimpleDefeat together with Shadow of Skyrim like this makes this cool short "Game Over" state before continuing, never needing to reload a save and circumventing OSimpleDefeat's tendency to get stuck or bug out from too many scenes being played back-to-back. I don't mind if it's lazily put together, I'd just like to ask for an edit to OsimpleDefeat where the player is killed automatically right after the default Stand Up and Fight post-assault event. Specifically, right after the notification that says: "Looks like they are leaving me alone! Better run for it!" With a grace period of 0 set in OSimpleDefeat's MCM, that should be when all the scripts end and NPCs return to normal. Edited April 23, 2025 by MiyuShinonomiya 1
