herpaderp5000 Posted April 21, 2025 Posted April 21, 2025 (edited) So all of my mods seem to be installed correctly. Game registers them all, I have everything loaded, framework shows up and is accessible through the UI mod. I've followed the instructions and extracted the PAK files from two animation mods into the /mods folder directory as instructed, extracted the JSON files into the AnimJSON folder and ran the Create Load List .bat file. "Load_List.json" has been created within said folder. However, the game tells me that "register couldn't find any animations so playback isn't possible", and when pulling up the S-Cake menu and accessing "Animation Events" and "Animation Slots" I get absolutely nothing. Empty lists. Can't tell for sure since it's super early in but the texture packs from UnfairJackal and one other might not be working, either, despite going through the same process with that .bat file. What gives? I'm at my wit's end here. Anyone kindly able to shine some light on this? Edit: Did a fresh install. Completely gutted the files, went back and did everything step by step. Still no luck. Some help would be very much appreciated here. Everything's installed exactly where it should be and I'm using the proper animation packs for the Steam version of the game. Additional Edit: Went digging into the Anims folder, the .bat file is just generating a blank load list that isn't referencing any of the animation packs loaded in the folder. Manually filling the load list out without the .bat file isn't fixing it, either. Yet another Edit: Checked the SwapJSON load order, it's registering the mesh swaps just fine in that load list. For some reason the animation load list just refuses to work, filling it out manually still won't register it in Sugar Cake. Edited April 21, 2025 by herpaderp5000
Ant Cant Posted April 21, 2025 Posted April 21, 2025 Move the animjson folder to your desktop, run the create load list bat, then move the folder back to where it belongs. Make sure the .pak file that came with the animation packs are located in the ~mods folder.
Brightborn Posted April 23, 2025 Posted April 23, 2025 i think i can say whats wrong, you are probably using the projectSC 0.6 which the only one that works with that atm is lurkers pack i think.I was having this same issue where only lurkers was working even with manualls inputting everything else into the file, the JSon files just aren't recognised at the moment for the latest version so things need to get recompiled for them all again. you will need to use an older version of Project SC if you want to get it to work so you will need to delete the newer version in your logic mod folder and then copy the old animejson (not sure if this step is necessary, i did it anyway though) and then when i ran the _create_load_list.bat it then picked them up(except lurkers since that was configured for the new version). you can find the older version on the googledrive link at the moment from their website.
