Basically the animation would progress but the dog would be still in the same animation as stage one. I had this issue with Mr handy but downloaded a patch to fix it. Couldn't find anything like that for dogs. I'm using the nightstriker mod so maybe it's different?

I managed to fix it by editing the XML file. For whatever reason, the nightstrikers need requiresAnimationReset="true" added to their race ID, like Dogmeat has but not the ViciousDog, which seems to work fine without it. So basically, I have no clue why this works for me and I'm not sure it'll work for you, but try it if you haven't solved it yourself. If dogs are doing this as well (which they aren't for me) you could try applying the same fix to them, in the XML files under /Data/AAF. But again, I have no clue why this fix works so make sure to save a backup before you start messing with the other XML files. Included the file path so it should work if you install it as any other mod using MO2 or Vortex. Nightstrikers fixed XML file.zip Edited May 17 by Nexus49 1
