Mod creation

Recommended Posts

Hi.

I'd like to create a mod that would allow sleeping with my wife and concubines or wife and secondary wifes .

The idea would be an activity like hunt / feast but "multiple people sex"

Is there a way to do a "simple" event like that without installing / using Carnalitas ?

I've tried to look into tutorials, but haven't found some on activities.

Ty if anyone have ideas / resources to help create such a things.

Activities are some of the most complicated aspects of CK3 to mod.
You would be better off making a decision on a cooldown that can trigger some events between the characters.

Ok, an event with a decision would also work indeed !

Also is there a way to add "lovers" / "soulmate" to this decision event stuff ?

Yes, you could make the decision create an event with options, each option based on a type of relation, OR you could make a decision radomly trigger an event as long as the conditions (Such as do you even have a soulmate) are true.

Ok.
Do you have any ressources / tutorials / stuff to watch / inspire from ? :)

Youtube might have some tutorials for how to at least set up a decision. I know it has guides for a basic event. Some of the triggers might be hard to comeby. But you need to write the text of the event first anyway. I recommend looking at the files of mods using something like Notepad ++ as it is the best way to learn. A smaller mod that does a few specific things will help you understand what its files are actually doing.

My recommendation is first write up somewhere exactly what you are aiming for. How many events and with what combination of relationships. After you have done that, decide if you made too many for your first go or if you think you can handle it. After that, look up how a basic event is made, either with a guide or by looking at other mods. Basic set up for you though:

  • Any event will need a file within the Event folder
  • Inside of that, you can name the file something like "sleeping_relations_events.txt"
  • Inside of that, at the top you will need a namespace. The name you use here should the name you use for each event. (Look at a mod, this will make sense)

From there, pick one of your event plans and try to make it into an event.
