You should maybe check your site isn't compromised in some way

FWIW: IMHO, Norton is the most silly and intrusive of all the security tools I've ever seen. We even report it as a "hostile program" and recommend uninstalling it in our SUMMON project (we've seen Norton slowing things down by an order of magnitude!).
