Partially Black Penis/Testicles

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

this is the first time I can't figure out how to solve a problem researching LL or other pages or dragging files from my mods folder.
As you can see in the pictures my Sims penis is somehow out of his pants and partially black or the same color as the clothing with black stripes.
When naked, the testicles are partially black no matter if erected or not.
I tried fixing the game, dragging mods like Noirs files or skintones as well as other mods I thought that could be responsible for that. I also tried to deactivate sweat or pubic hair.
It only appears in game, not in CAS. It vanishes sometimes, when I travel to another lot. I think it appears as soon as my Sim has sex. Any ideas?

The black color is almost certainly caused by a skin detail meant for a different penis being applied.

Simdulgence, Noir, etc.  They are not compatible with each other unfortunately.

You didn't say if this was happening on multiple sims, or just one.  If it's just the one:

Edit the toon using cas.fulleditmode

Select the head.  Disable all Skin Details

Select the body.  Disable all Skin Details and Tatoos

You can add anything you want back later.

But the phantom genitals that appear over clothing is weird.

I think I had something like that happen before, but can't remember the fix.

Might not be a mod, but a borked save file.

Make sure you delete the Resource.cfg file in your Mods directory when you are making changes.

Customize your toon using the Wicked menu to Personalize the body parts to something different.

I have sometimes used this technique when things get wonky:

Save the household to my gallery.

Open the gallery and add the Household I just saved, back into the current household.

Delete the old toons and keep the new.

--

Why you won't want to:

It's like starting over.  You will have to reestablish the relationships and talents.

They look the same, but they are new toons who won't remember where they were in game.

Why you might want to:

Can fix strange errors, such as when your Sim has different hair in the shower which you can't fix.

I did have problems that could not be repaired.

Notably, some mods might add Traits and things into the game that I could not get rid of.

Don't remember the specifics, but I added some mod that turns out I didn't like.

Played for a while which was saved into my game.  Said no.  Removed the mod.

Game became unplayable.  Couldn't open or use the file which had been using the other mod.

Forced to start over with new game.

The penis you have may be just badly made or no longer compatible; you might be able to fix the tags in S4S but without knowing which one you're using and looking at it for myself I can't tell you what changes need to be made or even if that's the actual issue.

In addition to the above... Simdulgence has "Default Skintone Overrides" which can help with stuff like this regardless of whose parts you're using. Basically, CC skin details and body parts, especially penises, utilize "overflow" spaces but the game's default skintones have nothing there, so it leaves a black space if you're not also using the creators' skintone (at least sometimes, tbh I don't know all the technical details). So, if you're still having the issue of the black skin portions, try that; you can download it here: https://simfileshare.net/folder/147694/ [simdulgence_Skintones_20211005.zip].

If you need help narrowing down what CC penis your Sim is using (sometimes it's hard to tell), you can save your Sim to your library/gallery, download the Tray Importer and examine your Sim there; it should tell you any CC being used and that can help you find the issue.
