Wicked Whims not working

At start up, only the scripts but not the tuning package shows up. Then no wicked whims options available in game play. Blank orange box with error message but no text.

Oddly, it says that "WickedWhims PACKAGE file is missing or incomplete". If scripts are showing up, then you must already have the mod installed no more than one subfolder deep? In that case, a few steps I'd try.

 

1. If you haven't, delete your cache files. Not deleting them when installing new mods, updating mods, or deleting mods can cause all kinds of issues.

2. If that still doesn't work, I'd try downloading the mod again. Delete the mod (script and package) as it is in your folder now, download it again, then when you unzip the file, just drag and drop the "WickedWhimsMod" folder directly from the unzipped folder into your mods folder.

3. If that still doesn't work, then maybe try a different program to unzip the file. The one built into my laptop sometimes had problems unzipping files for whatever reason (like it would tell me certain ones couldn't be unzipped even though others were obviously unzipping them), so I started using The Unarchiver and I haven't had the problem since. But it's only for Mac; if you're on Windows I don't know what's out there these days but I used to use the free version of WinRAR a lot.

1. Si vous ne l'avez pas fait, supprimez vos fichiers de cache. Ne pas les supprimer lors de l'installation de nouveaux mods, de la mise à jour des mods ou de la suppression des mods peut entraîner toutes sortes de problèmes.

2. Si cela ne fonctionne toujours pas, j'essaierais de télécharger le mod. Supprimez le mod (script et package) comme dans votre dossier maintenant, téléchargez-le à nouveau, puis lorsque vous déziprez le fichier, faites glisser et déposez le dossier "WickedWhimsmod" directement du dossier Unzipped dans votre dossier MODS.

3. Si cela toujours ne fonctionne pas, alors essayez peut-être un autre programme pour décompresser le fichier. Celui intégré à mon ordinateur portable a parfois eu des problèmes de décompression des fichiers pour une raison quelconque (comme cela me disait que certains ne pouvaient pas être décompressés même si d'autres les décomposaient), alors j'ai commencé à utiliser le Unarchiver et je n'ai pas eu le problème depuis. Mais c'est seulement pour Mac; Si vous êtes sous Windows, je ne sais pas ce qui existe ces jours-ci, mais j'utilisais beaucoup la version gratuite de Winrar.

Make sure your game is up-to-date. Also, are you taking it out of its folder and dropping it in your game? If so, just put the folder with the tuning file and the script file into your mods' folder.
