Soberano Maligno Posted February 13, 2025 Posted February 13, 2025 (edited) Hello, I want to download the Creation Kit in order to make a Follower mod but I have some concernings. Currently I have a Skyrim downgraded to 1.6.640 and a hudge modlist that is held with duct tape, I have only downloaded CK once and I must fucked up something in the setup because it broke my game while compiling scripts. But my question is I want to create a Follower mod for Skyrim, But Im afraid Downloading the Creation Kit will break my game again and I dont feeling like reinstalling from scratch. If I buy the GOG version of Skyrim could I have it as separate version for making mods and testing mods with the CK? Or there is any workaround I could use to installing the CK for my downgraded Skyrim 1.6.640 safely? Edited February 13, 2025 by Soberano Maligno
traison Posted February 13, 2025 Posted February 13, 2025 The CK itself does not break the game. Its what you do with it that has the potential to brick anything; it edits game data files afterall.

Thanks for clarifying, I have watched some tutorials for CK and copied my 500gb Skyrim setup as backup, in case I fuck up something again. If I everything goes well I will try to make some followers mod that I will upload As for the the mistake that broke my game I dont remember exactly what was it but It destroyed my old setup
