FrankCisco Posted February 5, 2025 Posted February 5, 2025 Hi folks, i am completely out of ideas here... after the January-Update i had the white-screen after loading issue. I boiled it down to my "building" and my "clothing" folder being the issue. I deleted everything had a brand-new, fresh sims 4 and loaded in all the content from those two folders in batches of somewhere around 1500 and then put those in a folder when they worked. The result: all of the content in those two folders worked in the game. Then i start putting them back into the game: white screen. I tried EVERYTHING. I really have no idea how to get this shitpile of a game running again (with mods, i am not playing this shit vanilla). Probably just delete it all and wait for InZoi to be an alternative, except someone has any ideas or a solution to this issue.

Do you mean that, in batches, the content all worked in-game, but once you put it all in the game at one time, it wouldn't? In that case, there's almost certainly conflicting mods. BE helps find conflcits but that only works if your game will load. So instead, maybe try Sims 4 Mod Manager? It has a tool that can find ID conflicts, which might help you figure out the problem; I've never used it myself but I've heard good things.

All of the "building" CC worked and when i checked all the "clothing" content all of that worked as well. But when i try to put everything in the game i get a seemingly random white screen. I put in all the "building" CC the game loads. I put in roundabout 1500 "clothing" CC the game loads, i put in another 1500 "clothing" CC game works as well. I put in another 1500, white screen. I take those last 1500 out, delete the cache, still got the white screen. Honestly i just don't know what on earth is going on, i never had "clothing" CC and "building" CC conflict with another or with anything else before. (those are the only things in the game atm - literally nothing else). But maybe i try the Mod Manager, maybe that will help, thanks for the hint!

I hope the Mod Manager works for you, or that at least something does. Trying to troubleshoot this game can be so frustrating!

Trying to troubleshoot this game can be so frustrating! Yes, it is very strange indeed. I have fixed this game many dozens of times, most of the time it is some script mod or something that impacts the ui - wich is not surprising when those mods are not up-to-date. But such an issue with clothing CC? And also that much of it while it worked previously (so it is not the massive amount of content) and when tested in batches? Just weird.

I have heard recently of several accounts of outdated CC causing CAS not to load at all, though, which is why I mentioned it. I'm really still learning how the game itself works – like, below the surface – so I don't really know how or why.
