Problem with cum overlays

I'm having an issue with cum overlays not working properly for the player character. If 

i start a new game, they will work fine at first, but stop working an hour or so into the gameplay. I wanna specify that it stops working DURING gameplay, not after quitting the game and loading back in. Also, only body cumshots stop appearing, they still appear on the face only, and all cum overlays continue to work perfectly on NPCs, just not on the player character.
