ReneeRainbow Posted February 3, 2025 Posted February 3, 2025 (edited) Hello Wicked Whims Please can you help me? I've just redownloaded all of my mods to get everything up to day and my sims was working fine until I tried to add the WW mod and now the game won't load any households and I get an error message that I don't not understand. I have attached a photo of the message. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the mod about 15 times over the last 10 hours and it's still not working. Please can I have some help with this? UPDATE: now the game won’t load at all Many thanks Renée Edited February 3, 2025 by ReneeRainbow
Guest Posted February 3, 2025 Posted February 3, 2025 Well, the first thing I see is that you're using OneDrive to hold your Sims files. Don't. I've never tried it myself but I've heard it cause so much trouble for others, because it'll, like, overwrite mods with older versions and all sorts of dumb shit. Keep those files directly on your computer and back them up manually if you want, but don't have any cloud program have direct access to the folder. It also says it's generating a WickedWhims_Exception file. It'd help if you could upload that here so we can view it and get a better idea of what else might be going on (if it isn't just the OneDrive thing)
ReneeRainbow Posted February 3, 2025 Author Posted February 3, 2025 My laptop automatically saves it to the one drive so I’m don’t know how to stop it from doing that. I also don’t know how to upload that file to here either. sorry I’m useless with my laptop and it’s probably something really easy to fix

I think if you go to the folder and right click on it, the settings might be there, but Google would be your best bet for instructions. As for uploading the file here, when you type a comment, you should see a bar just below where you're typing that says "Drag files here to attach, or choose files...". If you click "choose files" you can then go to the location of your error file, and then select it (you can also try dragging and dropping it but I've had trouble with that in some browsers). It will upload the file and attach it to your comment.
