Torsten Torsten Posted January 31, 2025 Posted January 31, 2025 So I found a tutorial that explained how to add a "bulge" slider to Body slide via outfit studio for Fo4. After some testing I found a way to add an entry to Looks menus sliders.json named "bulge" and then edit it in game (tho that was a few months back so I don't know if I took any extra steps I forgot by now). Not only that, but since I only added the slider for Clothing in Body slide, it wouldn't mess with my naked body or others clothes that didn't have said slider. Now, getting the slider to work in Body slide for Skyrim was pretty much the same process. However, getting them to work in Race menu, If that's even possible at all, is where I'm currently stuck. I did what everyone would do first and searched the internet for it, but didn't find much. At least not much my dumbass could get its head behind. The Question might sound stupid, as it's most likely not as simple as I remember it for FO4, but either way I decided to ask here anyway. I am thankful for any help or notch in the right direction.
Torsten Torsten Posted January 31, 2025 Author Posted January 31, 2025 Thinking about it, I definitely did more for Fo4 to work. I think I do some backtracking...

My first approach would be to copy the scripts and plugin from good ol' CBBE, as it already adds BS sliders to RM. Your biggest issue is going to be adding that slider to every single armor in the game, not to mention modded armors. OS can do a lot for you, but there's a few key things here that it can't do: It can't manage everything for you. You will have to manually adjust most armors if you want the result to look good. The more "lose" the armor is, the more work it will be. It can't be automated. Prepare to either spend a lot of time on this, or get into some form of GUI scripting.

Thanks, that's at least a place to start, I'm perfectly fine with adding them to each armor myself. As that's what I had/have to do for Fo4 too, and there are quite some armor pieces in my mod list that wouldn't need the slider (already have some sort of conversion) or wouldn't rly make sense anyway. The process of adding the slider in OS is rather "fast" most of it comes down to fine-tuning.
Torsten Torsten Posted February 2, 2025 Author Posted February 2, 2025 Hm, okay so after some testing around I decided to not go through with that plan yet. I kinda found alternative approach using O body and BS Presets. By making a single bulge version per BS preset. While not the exact thing, it gets the job done. And gives me some more time for the original idea.
