Crashing during civil war fort battles

[adoiad]

My game has been crashing when I do fort battles in civil war questline. I get to around the 20-30% soldiers remaining mark where enemy npcs keep spawning in and then I ctd. It only happens during these fort battles my game is otherwise quite stable right now.

15-05-58 seems to have been indirectly caused by a Logger component of TrueHUD. If its logging to the in-game console, it could be its spamming it too quicky as I find that crashes Skyrim quite easily. May want to look for updates to TrueHUD, or ignore this one if it doesn't happen again.

 

15-13-11, 12-19-56 and 12-09-55 crashed in memory allocation. The allocator was most likely passed invalid arguments, as it tried to dereference RDI which at the time of the crashes was 0x10. All these crashes happened because someone lost their head. You have issues with dismemberment/decapitation. I would be suspicious of the following things:

1. Mod which provides the skeleton for NPCs named "Imperial Soldier".
2. Mod which provides the armor and/or body mesh for NPCs named "Imperial Soldier".
3. Mod which provides the facegen, hair and other facial features (beard, warpaint, eye textures...) for NPCs named "Imperial Soldier".

Edit: Also Google this issue, as I'm not too familiar with it but I know it's been a problem in Bethesda games for... I'd say Fallout 3 or earlier (no experience with earlier games). There's bound to be lots of documentation and hints. The same bugs that were in Morrowind are still in Skyrim SE/AE, only the details change.

Decapitation seems likely. I am using maximum carnage along with dismemberment framework which are supposed to work fine with one another but it could be overloaded with all the npcs in use at once. I looked for a mod that lowers the amount of soldiers on civil war battles or the duration of fort battles but wasn't able to find anything like that. 

 

I see there's an update for dismembering framework and maximum carnage, I'm going to try those and see if it'll fix it.
