profsji Posted January 27, 2025 Posted January 27, 2025 (edited) Hi, I was inspired by a modlist description that promised deep roleplay as, for example, a blacksmith, alchemist, or chef. That sounds like an interesting playthrough, I think it would be cool to branch out from how I usually play skyrim, i.e. horny murderhobo, but there are a couple things I would want to add: 1. Sexuality (vanilla and kinky) integrated into the career so that my hours grinding it aren't without the main reason I play this game. Clarifying that it's not otherwise a sexual career. (prostitute no, sexy bard yes) 2. Reasons to travel the world and explore the wilds and dungeons that somehow tie into my career, beyong the fact that it's exciting. I'm looking for mod suggestions as well as ideas for new/unknown mods for how this gameplay loop could be achieved. Here are some of my ideas (out of order): - Your career success requires something you have to go farm for (e.g. ingredients for crafters, old books for scholars, ancient dwemer jukeboxes for bards) - You only get a license to operate in each town for a few months, forcing you to keep on the road - You use sex to entice customers - Customers use sex to haggle - Customers get angry or overexcited and take their energies out on you in a rapey fashion - Local competition gets angry at you taking their custom, and attacks, seduces, drugs or binds you - Over time local anger builds up so much that you have to move on - Enchanted gear that makes you better at your job, but has sexual effects - Have to complete sidequests in order to earn license to work in town - You're in service to some other person or god and your right to stay in this career depends on performance and serving them in other ways Those are just ideas, not requirements. How would you go about a career-focused playthrough that still pushes you to engage in the more exciting parts of the game? Edited January 27, 2025 by profsji
