[Need Advise] regarding mods and Special or Anniversary

Hello. Last year I had the NSFW mods working for Skyrim Special Edition. But with the Bethesda update, the game mods no longer work. I guess I have to reinstall everything and start a new game.

But I want to know, if I take the Anniversary Edition, will the major NSFW mods be updated for it? Or should I stick with the Special Edition? I do not know the current state of the mods with SE and AE, if the SE has been updated after this major Bethesda's event update. Most of the mods are the SL and animations ones.

I do not know what is best between a clean start or an update.
I ask because it took me a whole day to install all the mods the first time. But I don't know if I want to do it again, especially if the mods still don't work.
