is there a way to rrecruit NPC Sims?

I wanted to try to add a nice Sim townie i met yesterday but was not sure how to do it..being brand new at trying out Sim 4. Is there a easy way to do this ?

If you want to get a sim in your family, try doing it through the console ("Ctrl + Shift + C" on Windows, and "Command + Shift + C" on Mac.)
Use the following command in the console:
 

testingcheats true

This will enable cheats, which can do some crazy things, but it's simple enough. Once cheats are enabled, HOLD down Shift and then click on the townie you want to add. You will see a list of options, look for the one that says "Add to Family." Click on that and the townie should be added to your family. Enjoy your new sim
