Rain and snow in houses

For information for all

The update of January 14, 2025 made snow, rain fall inside the houses.

I posted a message on EA Answers and it was answered that the bug was known at EA.

Let's wait patiently for a new correction update.

I hope they fix it soon as it is too annoying and whenever it rains I always change the weather thanks to the mccc 🤣

I'm very curious about this bug, because it hasn't happened for me. I've tried different worlds, different types of homes (residential, apartment, etc.), no weather inside at all. I don't have any mods that I know of that would affect any of the weather tuning (I even made a package of just the vanilla tuning to see if it would flag as a conflict just to check) so I can't explain why it isn't happening in my game.

Yes, I do have Seasons, and my game is fully updated. But it just rains and snows outside, not inside. I'm 99% sure I tried without mods, even, and it still didn't. No clue why lol.

I have them both set to the default, which IIRC is Rain and Thunderstorms for the top one and Blizzards for the bottom one?

As I said, I'm having the full experience of weather, just nothing inside my houses – it functions exactly as it always had.

Comme je l'ai dit, j'ai toute l'expérience de la météo, rien à l'intérieur de mes maisons - cela fonctionne exactement comme il l'a toujours fait.

What are the Mods to install, it would be good to have the list if it doesn't bother you, 
just to compare and maybe find the remedy,
strange EA still speaks on console that the problem also exists.
My game is also complete but I have lots of Mods and no LE and Tmex-BetterExceptions don't mean anything to me, 
so everything is fine except this rain and snow inside.
Strange on another PC I installed the sims without any Mods, I created a family, 
placed them in a house without modification and unfortunately the problem is present.
Maybe a question of country.

I've looked at all my mods, but none, as far as I can tell, should have any impact on the weather at all. I've dug through all possible culprits on S4S and didn't find anything. So far I haven't found anyone else not having this issue. I'm even like 95% sure I tested with mods turned off and I didn't have the issue then either. Very weird!

I have hundreds of mods installed, but the only ones that have been consistent through this time are some from Sims4Me, MCCC, a few TMex things (BE, AllCheats, and ModGuard), a few mods from Turbodriver... I change up my mods a lot, and have been updating a bunch of old ones I used to use now that I know how to use S4S well. I've also made some mods of my own, but again, nothing should be touching the weather.

I'm getting this bug as well, its also a known issue with EA and has been going on for a few months now.

I'm well aware it's a known, documented bug. Just trying to figure out why it's not happening in my game. I've cheated in thunderstorms and blizzards (as well as experiencing natural ones) and zoomed into my Sims' houses in at least Oasis Springs, Tomarang, and Ravenwood. No weather inside.

J'ai un autre PC avec les Sims complets et j'ai copié tous mes mods de tel ou tel produit. J'ai une famille créée à Willow Creek avec ce jeu, donc la config des mods est identique sur les deux PC, sauf pour les familles, bon dans ce deuxième PC pas de neige et de pluie à l'intérieur, donc je suppose que ça vient des sauvegardes, car je ne peux pas les supprimer, je fais des BD avec le jeu et dix familles à Willow Creek. Pour le moment je désactive comme je l'ai dit précédemment dans un post. Il y a une solution qui est de refaire une nouvelle partie et de réinstaller les maisons et Sims qui vont avec, heureusement que j'ai des sauvegardes des maisons et Sims avec ou sans mod, ça prend du temps, dommage pour un jeu de passer plus de temps à le réparer qu'à jouer réellement.

For the moment I am content to deactivate as I said previously in a post.

There is still one solution which is to redo a new game and reinstall the houses and the Sims that go with it, fortunately I have backups of the houses and Sims with or without mod, it takes time, a shame for a game to spend more time repairing it than actually playing

 

 

 

Oh, it may be an issue related to older saves, then! I don't have any old saves; I make a new one almost every time I play because I'm always messing with my mods folder and really mostly just play the same Sim couple and have no real "progress" to care about.

I would not at all be surprised if EA somehow broke older saves in this way but not new ones, though I have no idea how that would happen lol

ETA: I do have one mod that impacts weather, to make Servos and other electronics rainproof and waterproof. I had an older MTS version of it but made my own, and I've had these the entire time. While I didn't make any changes to weather functionality overall, there may be some relationship between this mod and the issue not happening in my game, if it turns out not to be related to the age of the save file.
