NPC reactions?

Am I they only one who think it is annoying that you have a game like Baldur's Gate 3 (same in Cyberpunk 2077 and many other games) where you can (half) strip naked and walk around and NPCs (or a undefined crowd - means a comment you can't point at a NPC) do not even comment it? Like it would be nothing special, totally normal.

I would expect at least some lewd and other comments. That NPCs directly react and do some actions would of course even better, but even simple comments would be better than nothing. XD

I hoped maybe a bit of something like that would came from Larian themselves, but it looks like such a thing is not on their list. They dared to put in some adult content, but only just as much as necessary.

So all what I'm talking about is literally that NPCs/Crowds in cities comment to what you (not) wear.

I'm also an immersion player and nothing ruins for me more immersion if the world didn't react to you on even such simple things. Was one of the first things I tried out when BG3 released, since then the game lays here and I wait for the last official patch.

Maybe I will look myself if such a mod is possible in BG3, at the moment I would say it should be possible. But I was only looks after some months what mods exists so far (some great adult one, no question), actually I play something other.

For comments from a undefined crowd you shouldn't need more as a check what the player is wearing and some dialogs to play randomly. But I know very well that what first sounds simple can get quickly very complicated.

I agree.

I don't know if the game is already capable of detecting if a character is naked or not? Could possibly tie it to whether or not a characters genitals are displayed or not. The expanded/unlocked toolkit allows you to modify dialogue, so I definitely think it is possible.

I've also seen an API for modifying existing dialogue (https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/14038), but I'm uncertain if it allows for adding new options or changing the dialogue of crowd NPCs.

If I wasn't so busy with real life stuff at the moment I would've taken a look at it myself.

As you said, just having some basic comments would be fun. Hopefully NPC actions and behavior could come later.

THIS! I also was expecting the game to have some kind of NPC reaction dynamic. When playing Skyrim, I had many, many immersion mods making NPCs react more realistically to your actions.

What are you talking about? NPC reaction to player nudity is a technology of a long forgotten civilization. I haven't played every game in the world, but the last thing I remember is NPCs commenting to player nudity in vanilla Skyrim.

"Vanilla" is here the important word and the reason why I asked for a mod or mod possibilities. ;)

I actually playing BG3, since now the final content patch is out (didn't count that hotfix some days ago). I really would dive into modding BG3 and try to do something my own... but I have a main problem: time. Too many other projects and hobbies. But maybe I will take a look and see how the simplest mod here could be done and estimate the needed work to do that. But I know me very well, if I dive into that rabbit hole of modding BG3 my brain will overflood me with more and more ideas, for sure. XD

I wonder if anything will pan out from this; attitude lowering doesn't really do anything particularly special other than have people not want to talk to players, so I wonder what this could be used for down the line.
