Zaz - Problems Overall

In general, I'm confused on how to get the Zaz animations to work.  I can play any Sexlab animation such as Billys or Anubs however some mods will default to a Zaz animation when an event is triggered (ABBM or Sexlab Adventures or Public whore).  Have Naked defeat as well but I don't have ZaZ animations being called for scenes.  I do go through the SLanim loader process and all creature and SLpacks are options and work.  I never see the ZaZ animations to add or remove them in the SL anim loader.  13K animations loaded overall.  FNIS and Nemesis working together and have not issues except this one.  I have the ZaZ MCM and can interact with it.  If I load the anims before the SLanim loader process on a new game, Zaz anims are called for scenes but don't play.   (exception is one stupid strapon one).   If I don't activate any animations in the Zaz MCM, game will run smoother and all animation options available for scenes.  Sexlab will call ZaZ animations occasionally and either won't play OR will lock out SL animation options if they do.  I have 8.0 and 8.0+ loaded in game on a 2400+ mod list which functions with near zero errors or game issues.

 

Main issue is during Public Whore where zaz is called for an equipped gag and nothing plays.  That is when I tried to load the Zaz anims through the ZaZ MCM on a new game.  2nd issue is locking out options for other SL animations when they are called.  I have tried to re-run FNIS/Nemesis after activating the ZaZ animations on a new game.  Run FNIS/Nemesis before starting a new game and after activating the ZaZ animations in the MCM with little difference.  Some additional Zaz anims are called but when no devices are equipped and either limits or blocks other animations being called.  I'm sure it is a lack of understanding but I don't play with devices equipped and no DD mods at all.  

 

Probably related and just realized this so hoping for some input.  I always wear a Zaz collar.  Fame comments mostly and augment Aroused Creatures arousal.  Can't believe I just thought of that.  This is probably the occasions that anims are limited but not sure as it is rare.  Anyway, the process for loading the Zaz animations on a new game would be appreciated.  Example:  Before runnning SL anim loader, after, rerun FNIS/Nemesis, etc.  Thanks in advance.  

 

*bonus question - how to stop the stupid strapons from equipping in my game.  FF all the way and cannot stand them.  SexLab MCM simply cannot stop them.  Male anims on my girlfriends is unpleasant to watch.  Genders set correctly in SLEN and SL. 💖

Same issue as here it seems like.

Thus logic dictates that they're being equipped by something else. Animobject perhaps?

Thank you.  I will call my problem "conditional ZaZ".  Works when it wants to, not when it needs to.  Like some men I know.  

 

And thank you for the tip on the Strappy issue.  I will try and learn more about this.

Finding what's equipping stuff might be difficult, but I would start by searching all pex files in all mods (including those hiding in BSA files) for the following:

  • EquipItem
  • HookAnimationStart

Notepad++ can do this search easily. I've also made a CLI tool to do it, available upon request.

 

You could also do this, in case the strapon item is from a different mod:

  1. Find an actor currently wearing the strapon.
  2. Open the console.
  3. Select them.
  4. inv
  5. Find the item in the list. Marked as worn.
  6. Query your mod manager for the mod index, or use xEdit to locate the mesh assigned to the ARMA object and through that which mod is providing it.

You were very kind to respond with a plan to move forward.  I was at the point of deleting any strappy mesh I could find in my M02 files and accept the air bumping.  I have a plan now and I thank you for that.  I accept that a man takes me in game as part of my mods but that is not my focus. I want realistic female/female sex as much as sexlab can do it.  Still learning so again, thank you for your help.  If it wasn't for some of the mods I like, I would only use Ostim where I can control more.  😊🤗

If the issue is that girl-on-girl scenes play male-on-girl animations, then that is not a SL problem, nor will removing strapons do anything about it. That issue comes from the mod starting the scene not filtering animations in the way you want it to. The only solution to that is to alter the filter. Some mods may provide an MCM menu for that, if not then you need to edit the script.
