BearyBry Posted January 2, 2025 Posted January 2, 2025 At present I don't own Lovestruck (I'll be waiting for a sale when its at least 50% off, given the lacklustre contents that really don't justify an EP price tag), but have watched a number of Simmers on YouTube when the packs mechanics come into effect, which seem to reduce the romance bar very quickly if Sims don't see the significant other regularly, a new system of arranging dates that has woefully limited cross-pack compatibility, and a dating app the main feature of which (dating Sims from the gallery) never seems to work, I have to ask if all these functions can be switched off in the game settings? I'd assume that surely they can be, so you can stick with the Base Game dating system and/or download mods to fill the gaps (gotta love Simda), but I just wanted to double check so that when the time comes and the 50% is slashed off the price I can buy it safe in the knowledege I can enjoy the game the way I want to. Thanks in advance for any feedback or information anyone can provide.
Guest Posted January 4, 2025 Posted January 4, 2025 (edited) You cannot turn off romance satisfaction in-game (which is what causes that decrease), but Lumpinou does have a mod to totally disable romance satisfaction unless you manually add it yourself. You can disable the in-game dating app and use others, like Simda, but you have to do that individually with each Sim you play, via their phone. The date system can be ignored, and there are mods to prevent NPCs from appearing in "date situations", too. I use Zero's but I'm pretty sure there are others (some people refuse to use his mods). BearyBry Posted January 5, 2025 Author Posted January 5, 2025 @aerospace thanks for that. I knew there would be mods out there to play the game I want to.
