I don't know how to remove them. In fact, I would like to remove all the old and unnecessary ones. I just don't want to screw up the look of my sims. Is there a program that knows what's broken?
Guest Posted December 27, 2024 Posted December 27, 2024 I'm not sure if there's a program (I'm on Mac so if there is it likely wouldn't work for me anyway), but I usually reference Scarlet's Mod List - doesn't have everything but has a lot. For mods that have been updated it'll link you right to the newest update, unless it's an MTS-only mod, in which case you have to check MTS yourself. All you have to do to uninstall mods is delete them from the mods folder. Your Sims looks are probably mostly dictated by CC, not actual mods (mods being things that change how the game functions), and so they should be okay – most outdated CC that I've found and used still works okay, though I often edit tags in S4S to make it work better. Even if it does mess things up a little bit, having outdated mods will make your game unplayable with time so it's worth risking having to modify your Sims a bit.

Usually I use the sims 4 Tray importer to help me out. I typically put the mods I don't want onto a lot and save said lot to the gallery. The lot shows up in the tray importer and I can see all the mods used and find there location and delete them, same goes for creating Sims too. Also if you use the content management tool in The Sims Studio it can fix old mods, hope this helps yall. 1

COOLSIMSPLAYER92 Posted December 29, 2024 Posted December 29, 2024 Yeah it kind of does but using the the sims studio isn't that hard. The the management tool runs itself once opened and fixes your mods for you.
