UltronRulesAll Posted December 25, 2024 Posted December 25, 2024 I'm gonna make my own but I want to know what sort of things to expect going in like resolution and dimensions and files it accepts (don't want to make and then it just doesn't work).
acejames35 Posted January 4, 2025 Posted January 4, 2025 (edited) If I remember correctly, you can find the textures for the cards in the modded files. Go to Skyrim's directory folder > Data > Textures > cards and there should be the card's textures. They are 1024x1024 canvas size and can be edited from there. I use paint.net for editing the .dds files they are stored as. Make sure when you go to save the changes you merge all the layers and save as OVER the card within the folder. I have had issues if you save it as a separate new file and then replace the old one. Make sure the file names match the ones you are replacing. (If anyone else comes along and this info is wrong please feel free to call it out. I, IN FACT, do not know everything.) EDIT: When you go to save the file, make sure you select the drop down for the file type and select DirectDraw Surface (.DDS). this will automatically compress all layers together. I was doing it wrong the last time causing the issues I was having. Edited January 5, 2025 by acejames35 Previous info was off. 1

I also checked my main skyrim directory, but it's not there either as under data in that directory, there's no textures folder to go into. in MO2 I can find a textures folder if I use the virtual file browser that MO2 uses. but there's no cards folder. when I look specifically at LOTD's mod folder, everything to do with textures are bsa files. there's also a video folder and bashtags folder, but it's not in those folders. if someone knows why the folder isn't there I'd love to know, because I'd also like to potentially make my own retextures.
danna233 Posted February 2, 2025 Posted February 2, 2025 You have the mod itself, right? Make a copy of the mod and unzip it in some folder. Extract the files from the bsa archive and find the required textures. Now you can work with them. I can't tell you how to add the result to MO2, because I don't use it. Precisely because it is very inconvenient if you are engaged in modeling.
