IcedTee Posted December 23, 2024 Posted December 23, 2024 I don't know what to do anymore Fallout 4 has been working without any problems for the last few months, but recently Fallout 4 has been crashing every time after starting with mod organizer 2. (maybe something to do with the windows update who knows?) When I start the f4se_loader.exe in Fallout 4, it starts normally without any problems but without mods. When I start the f4se_loader.exe via the Mod Organizer, the game crashes after three or four seconds without me actually installing the mod.I have adapted all the ini files, but it doesn't work. I deleted the game and the mod instance several times and reinstalled it and it still doesn't work. I'm really at the end and don't know what to do anymore? Is it because of Windows? Is it the mod organizer, or is it the S4SE_loader.exe? Does anyone know any advice? I'm still relatively new to the forum and haven't done much yet, but hopefully someone can help me. Greetings IcedTea
deff. Posted December 24, 2024 Posted December 24, 2024 I don't know your game version, but you can try to run this tool. It shows compatibility between mods and important dll. plugins. Just unzip archive somewhere on your pc and add cm toolikit .exe as executable in your Mod Organizer 2. Run .exe through mod manager and check everything
IcedTee Posted December 27, 2024 Author Posted December 27, 2024 (edited) Sorry for taking the time to answer, I have to work over the Christmas period. I downloaded the toolkit and apparently it must have something to do with the Windows 11 24h2 update (I'll also post a picture). I think then unfortunately I'll have to wait until Windows fixes this with another update -.- (the small box near the exclamation point) Unfortunately I can't do a rollback because this only works 10 days after the update. But thanks for the tip with the tool EDIT: Okay, I deleted the picture because the problem was solved. I feel a little stupid about it -.- So it was the anti virus program, in my case Bitdefender. The solution was to add the f4se_loader.exe, the mo2.exe and the Fallout4.exe (it may also be that they are not necessary) as exceptions. I could have thought about it more, but I didn't think of it Well, maybe it will still help someone who has the same problem, and thanks again for the quick answer and help!
