Skyrim SE crashes at Bethesda logo

Hello all,

My journey to get SE running again after 28 months has changed slightly as I now finally switched from NMM to MO2. This got LE running for me, but SE is still a bummer. Upgraded to AE without knowing better. Downgraded by using download depot and then the Best of Both Downgrade Patcher. Got all my mods installed, fixed all of my Form 43 errors, and fixed all of my missing masters errors, the only error I get is from "there are files in your overwrite folder." So in theory I should be all good. Sadly not the case. Here is both my modlist currently and my most recent crashlog. I can't really read it, but saw Live Deviant Life a few times, so I disabled it.

Been playing LE until I hope to get SE working. Really want to check out Bruma and Legacy of the Dragonborn after getting all achievements for SE as I did for Oldrim.

It crashed because it tried to dereference RAX which at the time of the crash was 0x22857E20000. Apparently this memory space was not set to allow writing. Before that, it was most likely either loading "Alternate Start - Live A Deviant Life.bsa" or trying to read a file from it. It failed shortly after tbbmalloc, which as far as I know is a memory allocator.

 

I'm going to say, either there's an issue with the BSA or the file its trying to load from it. Perhaps the file headers are incorrect, or the file data itself is wrong. I suppose it could also be the stdio limit since you have ~428 plugins. So either get a workaround for the stdio limit, or unpack the BSA.

I raised to 8192 at first then lowered it to 4096. What else should I try? I saw this on reddit and went to this link. Here is the output, though I don't think this includes my stuff, just the base AE things.

 

Next, I see this post on Bethesda Archive Extractor, do I extract every BSA?

References have nothing to do with stdio. Stdio is a Windows OS concept.

Ok, so even though I "removed" Live a Deviant Life, from my modlist, its plugin was still active. Now I can start the game, but I am stuck at infinite loading screen. Also, when I try to use Loot, I get this error.

Turned off ELFXEnhancer.esp and still no go; HOWEVER, I can run LOOT again. Still infinite loading screen though.

So basically one of the game threads is freezing or getting stuck in a loop. Only practical approach to that is to remove mods until the problem goes away unfortunately.

Argh! Ok, so what I think I will do is uninstall all mods and start from scratch. Hopefully it isn't from one of the LL mods. I hope not to have to uninstall game all over again and go through the whole download depot, downgrade patcher, and fixing from 43 errors process.

You should not depend on this if you intend to preserve Skyrim. This has been disabled in the past, it can be disabled again at any moment. Also the game itself is like ~10 GiB (compressed), the cost of keeping this archived somewhere is negligible these days.

I'll try to remember that, the install is only 10-15 minutes - mods a little bit longer; but install is still faster than NMM I suppose.

Alright, I got the game up and running though had to take out some mods. I don't know if you would also help with this. When I hit a Sexlab or any animation really, either breasts or butt stretch. Not sure what is happening. I have XP32 Skeleton of course.

That's been posted several times before:

1. Missing or incorrect skeleton.
2. Missing or incorrect weightpainting.
3. Incorrectly configured physics (SMP/CBPC).

So, first thing to do is to make sure you actually have XP32 and that no hat or shoe mod is overwriting its files, then disable SMP and/or CBPC and test again.

Sorry about that. It might be wrong physics, I will check. I prefer to use UNP, but I do not see the preset in bodyslide so wasn't sure. Nemesis has been run numerous times.

Er... I tired a few different ways of affecting skeleton with each of the options. Could it be Maximum Skeletons D-Won edition causing trouble?

Just assume the answer is always "yes".

1. Inspect your physics files. Make a list of the nodes defined here that you expect to be realated to the issue you're seeing.
2. Open the skeleton in NifSkope. The nodes must exist here.
3. Open the armor mesh you're having issues with in Outfit Studio. Inspect the problem area, and make sure the nodes you expect to affect the area are weightpainted to do so.

So, as an example:

1. CBPCMasterConfig defines a preset for "L Breast01":

   L Breast01=3baBreastL1

2. Verified skeleton.nif from XP32 contains "L Breast01".
3. Verified nude body has a bone named "L Breast01", and it is weightpainted on the expected area.

Ok, so the fix I found was to just switch to CBBE body for SE, everything works now. My last problem now is that my pc covers herself even though that option is unchecked in DCL. Not sure what that is about, but I can ask in a different thread. Thanks for all of your help.
