Becoming casual sex partners restricted by romantic orientation?

So I am playing a female sim that's only romantically interested in other women, but is interested in woohoo with both men and women. I know there's a feature with becoming sex friends in wicked whims, but for some reason this option didn't appear for male sims. Apparently even though it's just about sex my sim also needs to be romantically interested in males for that option to appear which doesnt make sense. 

I couldn't find anything about others addressing this issue and it's been a thing since the sexual orientation update came out. Wicked Whim's sex partners option should only take woohoo preference into account

i know i have been on and on about this but i really want casual sex parter back its great i have tried the other way and its just not it i reall want this back please let get this or wicked whims to bring it back please .  i havent been able to use it for ages but last weekend it worked for one time only and couldnt use it again please bring it back

same here. like i said before this time last week i put back in an old sim and out or the blue the "ask to be casual sex partner option came up and worked it makes your casual sex partner give you calls on the phone to have sex with them "booty calls" and it worked but it only happend once and cant seem to get it back . wicked whims needs to fix that for us
