Stormlorde Posted December 16, 2024 Posted December 16, 2024 (edited) is there a place where i can get help debugging my load order? I have no idea what is incompatible with what and Stellaris is not giving me any hints. should I just post it here and hope I get a response? Im asking here first cause I have a lot of LL mods Edited December 16, 2024 by Stormlorde
SpaceRaven Posted December 16, 2024 Posted December 16, 2024 Use Irony Mod Manager. The default paradox launcher is terrible, and Irony lets you re-arrange them much more quickly and clearly Unfortunately it still doesn't show conflicts, as that's not really a feature in any Stellaris mod manager, unlike Skyrim mod managers which show conflicts by default. Irony does have a feature that lets you patch all your mods and merge them into a mega-mod, but I haven't had any success with this and it just leads to instant crashes on my setup. I just use my mod load order without merges just fine. You really just have to wing it in terms of conflicts, and just try to think about what mechanics/files each mod overwrites and create a load order from that. Stellaris modding is an entirely different beast from modding Bethesda games.

I actually got help from reddit and they helped me figure out that putting "36 build slots" "UI Overhaul" and Gigastructures" below the LV mods and in that order fixed all my problems except the issue of the Governor's Traits overlapping their EXP bar in planetary view. There doesn't seem to be a fix for that one since it is caused from the game trying to display an absurd amount of leader traits.

Oh yeah UI mods are really important to keep track of in terms of load order. You might be interested in Improved Leaders View and the UI Overhaul patch, but it doesn't directly address the issue of not being able to display the extra leader traits
