To this section: if the community likes to support the modders, thats fine as thats not 'purchasing' the mods, and i've seen alot of modders get ton of tips for regaulair updated and well made mods... but thats completely different to what this guy is doing as its not required XD

What you're doing is essentially illegal, because you're selling content the game developer didn't give you permission to sell, and if he really wanted to he could sue you for charging for mods. Free mods have no legal action possible, but paid mods are copyright violations of the original game and I hope you fall for it.

I've just made an account just to say that, at this point it doesn't matter if the mod is pay-walled or not. The worrying thing is that the modder supposedly added a virus to the "pirated" version, his reputation is tainted, nobody is gonna download/pay something from him knowing that he can include shit in the mod, pirated or not. FOSS is the solution.

I just scanned my zip of it and it doesn't for me, if you want the original or this one pm me.

I downloaded the Ryudious mod directly from the source on nexusmods before it was taken down the same day. These detections could be false positives. With the knowledge we have now, though I refuse to download/run anything associated with that modder going forward.

Im guessing whoever reuploaded it put something in there, but then again like you said could be false positives. I have the download from here on LL before it got taken down.

It's good to know that the download from LL is potentially safe, though again I wouldn't trust anything associated with the original mod creator. Be safe.

Any mod that requires a subscription check shouldn't be used, as to some, that isn't a virus as its something that connects to the internet without your permission so it might be considered as a Trojan or phishing code within the file, these sites dont pick these up that often and will mark it as safe. My advice, keep away from any paid mod, if any mod require internet (to be honest, if any file or tool requires this you should check why its connection anyways), delete it and report where you got it.

Oh, I saw this mod. The interesting fact is that the author of the video uses a texture pack like this.
Such a mod is not related to the code at all and should not require any loaders or launchers, since it is just a set of .png images.
The author of this video is clearly giving you a trojan.

In any circumstance, do not disable your defender, if its a false positive then mark it as so, dont download something and do this... unless your stupid and want a virus or something... then go right ahead lol XD

Yeah, I deleted my own Nexus account due to Nexus staff siding with this ding dong of a dev who thought a paid mod using a free injector (UniversalAssetLoader), which is available on GitHub, was fair. I didn’t touch the original .dlls that person was making people pay for.

There’s no "Trojan." Nexus scans all uploads, and I’ve been uploading mods for a year with zero infractions. The issue is that since he tampered with the .dll and it isn’t signed, Windows flags it as "Trojan." For clarity, Trojan doesn’t mean virus—it means tampered with. You can even compare the file with Boris’s; it’s the same one.

The model in question was my model, and I gave the global moderator an actual recording of me making it in Blender. The problem, apparently, is that if a modder like Boris (or whatever his name is on here) changes free software by even 5% or whatever ridiculous percentage, it supposedly becomes their own software to an extent.

I don’t support anyone charging people for free software, even if they change the code slightly. So Nexus Mods can screw right off imo.

You can easily host your own mods anywhere you want. Funny thing also is Nexus has zero way to even argue. If the Global mod deems you guilty, you have zero say.
Was I supposed to use his dll's according to HIS license from his download? Nope!  Is it legal to do so anyways? YES because he didn't own the original source of it.

I will make sure to distribute it everywhere I can. I have already got rid of his stupid .dlls and made my own " I only change it about 5% also Bwhaha ).
But in all honestly any patcher with modified .dll's will usually trigger any AV. That is normal, so I WILL side with him there ( And also Nexus scans all files also like I said ).  But other then that, Boris's or whatever the actual guys name is can eat a **** and I hope everyone gets it all for free. He deserves nothing for claiming freeware and 5% original code left intact.

I have all the models if anyone needs them ( Mine not his ). As his models are his models still EVEN though it's copyrighted to the original dev, Boris still made HIS models.  I have 3 versions because I literally ripped the ENTIRE Unity project and have the game running inside the actual editor.  But I will not touch his crappy .dlls ever again.  Just make your own or only use Universal Asset Loader directly for saftey or from TRUSTED devs like Evaisia.

sooo i just looked at the src, it simply checks the hash of both the license files to check if they are in their original state and sets a bool, however the mod still works fine for me even when i change the hash of the files lol
