Game Crash

Hello, I am looking for some help with the game crashing while trying to load mods. The game does load without mods, so I know its not the base game. I have also tried the method of remove mods till it works, but I'm not sure if that is fixing it by removing the problem one or it is multiple ones since if I place back mods after getting game to work thinking i removed the problem one it crashes again. Hoping someone can help me out, I can't really make sense of the hopefully log file that catches the error.

Ultimately you're getting a system out of memory error, if you search for that you'll see it. You are getting other errors but that one, ultimately, is probably why no matter what you eventually run into the crashing problem when you add too many.

So my computer is limited to the amount I can run at once then.

Thats sounds kind of whack.

My PC is 9 years old and loads about 350 mods of all kinds.

With you still running a 650M you are using some 12 years old laptop?

2gigs of VRAM; and the graphics driver is 5 years old.

4gigs of RAM i would guess.

Even for Rimworld thats a little too old.

 

But either way, even ignoring the XML mismatches

there are alot of errors in this.

Like someone to correct me if I am wrong, but reading the text file again I see a errors concerning DDS. Since I use the RenPy for mods, I do believe at one point I did the convert textures to DDS, so if I did that then updated the mod would that make it have both DDS and normal textures, and so cause issues?

OK using the optimize tex in RenPy fixed the crashing, but now it just loads a black screen and from the log file it gives this message over and over anyone have an idea what this means?

That error could relate to any number of mods can you please post your whole mod list?

 

Also just so we can get an idea of if we are looking at a hardware issue can you also please give us your basic PC specs.

 

All we really need is:
- Operating System

- CPU

- Amount of RAM

- GPU

 

I assume you know how to get this but in the event you do not you can find all of this info except for the operating system which you should know, by opening Task manager and going to the performance tab. Just tell us what it says in CPU, Memory, and GPU

I just simply checked a handful of random lines, like:

That mod has not been updated since March

I would be careful even using that on 1.4 let alone 1.5 as evidenced by the existence of Anomaly in the modlist.

I do however not understand why that specific patch fails. Unless another mod deletes those lines first.

 

There are several such mods in the pack. As long as you are using mods that are month if not years out of date

any other help is pointless.

Thats probably also why you have so many errors regarding graphics.

Parts of the way pawns are drawn on screen got changed with 1.5 to allow the Anomaly content to show properly.

Dont ask me about details, someone with real modding or programing knowledge needs to explain that.

• Oh I had did the update thing for mods that I had and checked dates and least most was after month or 2 after 1.5 came out, RenPy also wasn't showing the mods I had as being out of date.
