Nipple/Breast Texture Bug?

Recommended Posts

I've been trying to figure out what is causing these weird spots on either breast for a couple hours and its driving me mad.

Picture below is using Sopor's Allure Top Body, but it is there with EVE as well. I currently only have Allure's mesh and Wicked Whims in my Mods folder.

It's also present with just the base Wicked Whims mesh:

Only way to get rid of it is by using a full body skin like EVE's overlay, but I've never really been a fan of the full body overlays. Is this a recent issue or a known issue? None of the pictures I've seen while looking for workarounds seem to have this problem - and I don't seem to recall ever having this issue the last time I played.

Do you have custom skin tones installed?

None at all. Only things in the Mods folder is Sopor's Allure mesh and Wicked Whims. And with the second picture I took out the Allure mesh and only had Wicked Whims.

I tried out other body mods in the meantime, and they all had the same problem - no custom skin tones, no default overrides, just the Mesh. The only one that didn't have this issue was Dumbaby's mesh, which is really good - I just preferred the Allure mesh.

I use Sopor's Allure mesh as well and don't have this issue. I haven't updated to the current version of the game as i'm still on 1.109.207.1020.

I take it your game and wicked whims is the latest version.

Have you tried without wicked whims installed, not sure if this is correct but doesn't wicked whims have skin tone overrides in it's package.

I am on the latest game patch, as well as the latest Wicked Whims version. I also just tried using Sopor's mesh without Wicked Whims as you recommended but the issue still persists.

No other files, no folders, just the mesh.

It's a fresh install as well, so I have to assume something in the life and death patch broke how the mesh lines up with the UV? I only have experience with code, so I'm not sure how texture/mesh alignment works other than the general idea, lol. I'm just trying to rationalize why none of the pre-patch meshes work.

For now I just decided to use DumBaby's meshes since they work right out of the box and look pretty good. Sad that I can't use Sopor's mesh, always liked it.

I think the issue is that your using an old Allure top mesh from 2018. The one i have is hokusai26_Allure_retouch_alternative _nipple_placement_standalone.package

Here's the file i have which has the top mesh enabled to be selected in CAS.

hokusai26_Allure_retouch_alternative _nipple_placement_standalone.package

If the issue with the mesh is still present see if this mod fixes it. Make sure to place the #Sej folder in your mods folder don't place the package file directly in the mods folder.

Edit:

I just downloaded Sopor's Allure mesh from 2018 no issues with it in my game.

One last thing you can try is this nude top which is the default nude mesh from the game files. It can be found under Vests.

Yeah the issue persists. Here it is with both the retouched Allure mesh, as well as the patch you provided:

Its less noticeable, yet still there. Though that could just be the skin tone I used for the picture though.

And with the default mesh, I couldn't find it under any of the tops, vest or not.

I really have no idea what's going on. I assumed that the DumBaby mesh had been updated/uploaded recently since it was the only mesh that did not have this issue, yet I double checked and saw that it hasn't been updated since at least January. So it isn't the latest patch that is the cause, at least I don't think.

This package will now show under Vests.

Default_BASEGAME_Nude_Top.package

Is this the Dumbaby top mesh your using, female breast mesh v2 - Pure & Heavy Shape.

Since the 1st swatch has an overlay on it does the mark show on the 2nd swatch. If not i will import the allure mesh into Dumbaby's package for you to test.

What about the male sims do they have marks on their chests as well.

Well I'll be damned. I didn't realize the DumBaby mesh was using an overlay, nor did I check the other swatches. The problem does exist on the other 3 swatches without overlays.

And yes, I'm using the 'female breast mesh v2' - both Pure and Heavy shapes.

And yeah the spots are still there even with just the Basegame Mesh.

The male sims do not have this issue. So far every Mesh I've tested for males works seamlessly, including the basegame.

I know what the issue is now you need wild_guy's Female Body Details.

I removed all my mods but just left a breast mesh and had the same issue as you, after putting wild_guy's Female Body Details in the mods folder the marks were gone.

Hah, of course it's as simple as that - never knew it was a hard requirement. Tested it out on multiple meshes and all the textures seem to be fixed.

Thanks for all the help with the troubleshooting, don't think I would have figured it out on my own.
