Animation Loader on Vortex

Recommended Posts

So, I downloaded SLAL to Vortex, but it will not register any of my animation packs. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the mod, reinstalling mods packs then running either FNIS or currently Nemesis and even switching over to MO2 which loaded the animation packs however it now keeps crashing when I load any old or new files. Any advice on how to get Vortex to properly load SLAL so I can get access to the animation packs?

I'm still fairly new to modding on PC, and I have a couple things that do work but they lack the kinkier side of the other animations that would make the run through more fun and interesting, that and it's such a small amount of animation that it's registering currently through separate MCM pages.

Honestly that sounds like a rules issue (assuming you have the version of SLAL that matches the Skyrim version you're playing). Is the mod being overwritten by another mod? If it is set to load before another conflicting mod, then at least some of the files are being overwritten by another mod. I use Vortex and SLAL is one mod I've never had any problems with.

It might be beneficial to do a complete clean uninstall (then reinstall) of skyrim and start over starting by installing any foundational mods you need first, then adding others after. Not sure if that helps or not.

I'm not very tech savvy myself 😅

SLAL should see packs json files which end up in the directory Data/SLAnims/json  (so check there first)... it's the json files it reads and registers in SexLab when you use the McM menu. On that menu you can clear and reload the jsons, You can reset the animation register in SexLab's McM, then register them again via SLAL's McM.
