"curse_effects_greedyneeds_dispelathighmotives"

All spellcasters are getting this buff, "curse_effects_greedyneeds_dispelathighmotives", and yelling at everyone. If you remove it, it comes back immediately. I've tried everything and nothing resolves it. One of the many bugs that EA keeps shipping out to us with every new update. I think I've had enough of The Sim 4. I've already deleted all my mods, accidentally, and without a backup, so maybe it's a good time to permanently walk away.

Not just spellcasters but all sims get it, I think it's been in the game for sometime as it's not from the life and death update.

 

I made a small workaround mod for myself to remove it from sims, you can give a try if you want.

 

It's in the form of a small picture frame (The Framed Check) which you will need to place above the main entrance door to your house that way any sim

who walks though the door has the curse removed radius of it is set to 25. You will have to keep the picture frame there so it keeps removing the curse.

 

In build mode search for Curse Remover.

No Problem, it's good to help people when possible.

 

Do you have system restore points enabled? you could restore windows to a point before you deleted your mods folder.

No, I turned it off some time ago. Thanks for the tip!
