Seeking Help with Controller Compatibility for SexLab: Position & Photo Mode Keybind Issues

I've been working on getting SexLab fully compatible on controller (currently using ps5 controller cause its got the most reprogrammable keys) including positional keybinds and photo mode keybinds. It's mostly working, but I’ve been struggling to get the alignment keybinds fully functional with no drawbacks. Most of the keybinds are pretty easy to set up in the mcm and self explanitory ie advance position set to square, reset adjustments to circle, move scene to triangle, etc. So I am mainly intrested in discussing the positioning keybinds/reverse direction modifier here.

Much of this is only possible with steams controller remapper+auto input switch so a big ty to both of those

First setup:
I mapped all the position keys to the directional arrows, then rebound them to the D-pad and set the shift (for reverse direction modifier) to the PS5 mute button in the Steam controller config. Everything worked fine except that I had to unmap the favorites menu in controlmap.txt. The issue now is that, in photo mode, I'm adjusting the positions (moving menus around with the D-pad).

Second setup:
This one’s slower but fully supports photo mode with a dash of jank. It uses Steam Input Config to give a secondary (long hold) input to the D-pad bound to the directional arrows, again with the reverse direction modifier bound to shift, and shift bound to the PS5 mute button. The downside here is that I can’t quickly scroll through menus with the D-pad.

Third setup:
In this one, I rebound the directional swipes on the PS5 touchpad to the arrow keys, again using the reverse modifier with the shift key bound to the mute button. This setup worked great, except for one bug—no matter what I try, the reverse direction modifier won’t work with the directional swipes. For some reason, when the swipes are bound the shift key won’t register. The only way I could get past this was setting the remapped direction keys to "toggle" but then it just spams it over and over again. Not exactly ideaI for finely tuning alignment. I really wish I could get this one to work but after hours I am at a loss.

I injured my back badly about a week ago, and I can’t really use a keyboard and mouse for gaming. I'm basically just stuck in a hammock chair to minimize pressure on my sciatic nerve for the next week or so at least--if I come up with anything better I will post it here.

Anyone else encountered these issues or have suggestions, thoughts, or workarounds? Curious to hear your thoughts!
