[WIP] Vault Suit Cutoffs

Hello Loverslab! So I have been enjoying ThatMrSmile's Modular Vault Jumpsuit CBBE for a while now and it has become one of my mainstay outfit mods. It blends my desire for a provacative barefoot outfit with something that fits into the fallout world. That being said I would love to have the sole survivor trim off some of the suit to expose a bit more skin and show off some wonderful tatoo mods. I'm looking to make my first outfit mod and I have no idea where to start. I've learned how to make small edits to outfits with bodyslide but this project is a bit far from my scope of expertise. I'm looking to make a customisable vault suit mod with things like gorecaps, Cbbe compatibility (since that's what I use), and crafting table entries intact but I dont really know where to start. I'm willing to learn how to use programs like blender to achieve this but I'm really looking for resources from the community that can help with outfit creation. I know this is something that many have mastered in the past, but I'm just looking to get started. The images below are kind of a proof of concept and were edited in photoshop as a guide for the result I want to achieve. Thank you for all of your help!
