Schlongs won't move after updating to AE 1170

So I got a strange problem after updating Skyrim from 1.5.97 to AE 1170. For some reason none of the schlongs whether its my PC of NPCs move or react to sexlab animations or manually with either SOS hotkeys or sexlab hotkeys. Neither does typing in SAE sosbend in console does anything. This happens 50 percent of the time whenever I load up a game.

 

I reinstalled my entire mod list and iI think I found the culprit. Its SSE Engine Fixes. Without the mod SOS works. Any idea whats going on?

Just to confirm, when you updated to AE, did you get the second part of SSE Engine fixes installed for AE? The part that cannot be done via mod manager and must be manually installed.

Yes. Installed manually into the game directory. I downgraded my entire game and mod list back to 1.5.97 and the problem is gone. I even ran a test on AE with only the SOS essentials and Engine fixes and the problem is back. Tested with both SOS variants, with and without the DLL.

I've always played on the Anniversary version, so I am not sure what the major differences are between the versions that could cause that type of issue, especially if it happens only half the time. Wish I could offer more help. That was just something that popped in my head when reading your issue.

A couple of things come to mind:

  1. Apparently there's a bug in the post-1.5 versions of the game where RaceMenu morphs don't update unless you change clothing. That could mean things like SLIF and NiOverride are essentially broken. SOS dongs would be in the NiOverride category.
  2. ScaleformAllocator in EngineFixes.toml: A select few people have issues with this being set to true, as it apparently breaks features in RaceMenu for them.

I noticed the bug only occurs after I changed some body morphs. If I start a new game leaving my characters body at zero sliders its fine, it breaks after changing my body.

 

Edit: After even more testing the I found out the bug only occurs with TRX addon meshes. Not the plugin but the meshes. I tried one of DW addons and no problem there. I am at a loss for words at this point.

 

Edit 2: Have you ever heard of AE being finicky with file names? I renamed the addon meshes and so far its working.

No.

 

If you didn't change the file names in any relevant plugins/script files as well then all you did was essentially disable the meshes when you rename them.

Yeah did that, renamed everything.

Just the nif and ARMA plugin entries. The addon didn't come with any xml files. I removed 'trx_' from trx_schlong".
