Is there a spell where you can cast it on someone and your companions will attack, but the enemies wont attack you because the spell itself doesnt do anything?

 

Basically I want to signal an attack with my companions

I think you can just tell your follower to attack and they'll fight it out. I know when I want to hang in the back and my follower is only attacking, they usually just go on them. Unless you just want your follower to attack someone who doesn't attack at all.

Yeah, just tell your follower you want them to do something, or hold the activate key on them to do the same thing, then point at an enemy and tell them to attack. Only the one follower will charge, but once combat starts your companions will join the fray.

 

However, even if you're not doing anything the enemies will still see you as a threat if they detect you while fighting.
