So I got the holotape to generate but it does not generate the drive in reels in the game with the newest version

Nothing changed to drivein in the latest update. Check the length of your video, drivein only supports up to 8 grids instead of 24 for normal tvs.

why the indoor projector not playing the videos?

Make sure to test other mods' videos and that you properly refreshed the lists before reporting this one not working

Simpler Instructions for dummy's like me. (What I did for mo2)

  • Download/ Install the auto video UI file somewhere you'll know where to find it.
  • Download and install ffmpeg  (It's the biggest download button)
  • On your pc start menu/search bar type cmd  and hit enter. In the black pop screen, type in  "winget install ffmpeg"  and press enter.
  • If you had not already extracted the auto video UI folder, do so now.
  • launch the autovideo-UI.exe
  • Input path* is where you input the file path of the movie you want.  It must be in MP4 format. I was told it does not recognize .mpg
  • Give it a name at the top. Keep it short. Very short. This will be the name of the halo tape you craft.
  • Hit start. Let it do it's thing. you'll see pop ups of progress. If it hangs, you did not extract the auto video folder.
  • Copy the output folder to your desktop. (it will bring all the interior folders and files inside with it)
  • Right click on that output folder and click Winrar > add to archive
  • Give the archive a name if you wish (recommended)  and press OK.
  • It should spit out a Win.rar of your movie and packed in a format that mo2 can read.
  • In mo2, simply add it to your mods list and enable. Done!

Now  when you load your game, go to your MCM settings, find videos of the wasteland and hit reinitialize. Then in your workshop menu, find your videos of the wasteland tab, build it's crafting bench, and you should see your movie that you can craft. Wallah!

I saw extra texts of z's on my video. I'll have to go back and read posts to see what that was all about, but other than that, This process worked for me and I will be doing it again and again. Next challenge is to add 9 more videos. I'll get back to you.

Thank you so much for this mod!

Hello! You have created a good utility. I noticed that grids.dds has bc1 compression algorithm (DX10). I reconverted the grids to bc7 - it works. My question is: is it possible to add an option to select the texture compression algorithm to your program? bc7 requires 2x more memory, but it should significantly improve image quality.

Only a 1 year time to implement, pretty good turnaround I'd say

As long as you have placeholders left in your esp, you can add to it. You don't need to reselect videos because then you will just have them twice.

Sorry, but I've created a bunch of videos, and while some of them show up in the crafting menu, when I try to add them to the start menu, it says “You cannot store that,” even though others appear just fine. Does anyone know why this is happening?
