Slow burn romance

Does anyone have any tips for crafting more slow burn / seduction romances? I have all expansions and up to date WW. I want to make stories where a character pursues and slowly seduces a character in the same house, but find myself in this issue where day 1, the characters start flirting then want to jump straight into boning if I look away. I’ve tried making them less attracted to each other but then they don’t respond well to advances ever. 
 

The ideal scenario would be characters who are extremely attracted to each other and their resistance to something romantic is gradually lowered over weeks. Is there a setting or mod to make this happen?

I think the trait "Romantically Reserved" from the Lovestruck pack will slow things down quite a bit.
