A Plea for Assistance: The Disappearance of Carnal Court Options

To the Esteemed Members of the Realm,

I trust this missive finds you in good health and high spirits. I write to you today in hopes of remedying a most perplexing situation that hath befallen my humble game of Crusader Kings III.

Upon my last engagement in the earlier months of this year, all matters pertaining to the Carnal Court and the joyous act of love-making were functioning as they ought. However, upon my recent return to the realm, I find myself bereft of these cherished options. Furthermore, the esteemed traits pertaining to the dimensions of our more intimate attributes no longer bear their rightful names or icons, replaced instead by a most curious pink and black checkerboard emblem.

In an effort to elucidate my plight, I have attached a list of my mod selections alongside screenshots that clearly demonstrate the absence of the Carnal Court options and the missing icons.

Should any noble soul possess the wisdom or guidance to assist me in restoring these lost features, I would be eternally grateful.

Yours in camaraderie and noble pursuits,

Emperor Merlyn d'MErovingian

Hi, make sure Carnalitas Love Reimagined and CBO Unofficial are up to date, CLR should be version 0.5.1, and CBO Unofficial should be 1.3

As far as I know, CLR makes it so that characters can only start a scene, if they are located at the same place.

Can you also try without CLR? The issue is either due to CLR or CBO Unofficial, so need to rule one out.

In regards to  the missing Icons from Carnalitas that looks like a faulty install of the mod, I reccommend a fresh download, deleting all carnalitas files and re-installing the mod

I tried all of the above and it is still not working, unfortunately

Hi, does it appear with just Carnalitas, and CBO? Also do you use debug mode only? Like maybe its having issues in debug mode.

I've tried with debug mode on and off, and with just Carnalitas on and CBO. Still the same result.

Can you share an error.log? Did carnalitas reinstall help with the icons? Is the issue the same on a new game?

Nope. it didn't work with a new game either. Am I deleting and reinstalling the mods correctly? I close CK3, delete the MOD file and folder of the same name from the Mod folder, download the new mod and extract it, and put the new MOD file and folder into the Mod folder, then relaunch CK3.

Am I using the right version of these two mods? Here are the two I have installed:

Hi, yea, those 2 should be it, can you share an error.log? There is a log folder next to the mod folder.

Do you still have the issues with missing textures for carnalitas traits?

Here  is the error log from yesterday, thank you! Yes, I am still seeing the missing textures for the Carnalitas traits.

Its definitely a carnalitas issue, its complaining about some very basic things that come from carnalitas.

Can you try what is in this post?

Seems like other also had issues with carnalitas, due to file path, so maybe it shows that you added carnalitas, but then somehow fails to actually load it.

So try moving the carnalitas mod out to a different folder, and then edit the "Carnalitas.mod" file, and change the path="" part to where you moved the mod to.

I  can't see the photo you attached, it just shows as a white box. I did nest the Carnalitas mod in a new folder and changed the mod to the new location. The icons still didn't change, but I now have the option to Carnal Court Make Love, however the game crashes once I select it.

Hi, can you share an error.log again after the crash?

You can also try just move the entire paradox folder, there is some guide here:

https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/threads/file-locations-windowed-mode-dlc-names-numbers.717206/

"Go to the location of the actual game files (where the executable is). Here, manually create a plain text file named userdir.txt. In this text file, put the path of where you would like the game to put save files and screenshots, e.g. D:\Games\EU4User\. (You can delete the folder in My Documents and restart the game, it will create its files in the new location.)"

As far as I know, this should still work, same with CK3, maybe you can just move all mods to a different folder.

If you have issues with Carnalitas due to file path, maybe you also have issues with other mods like CBO, and thats why it crashes.

Hi, seems like instead of mod issues, now you have GPU issues:

[19:10:45][E][gfx_dx11_fence.cpp:32]: D3D error: hr returned: The GPU device instance has been suspended. Use GetDeviceRemovedReason to determine the appropriate action.

[19:10:45][E][pdx_assert.cpp:619]: Assertion failed: hr returned:
The GPU device instance has been suspended. Use GetDeviceRemovedReason to determine the appropriate action.

[19:10:45][E][gfx_dx11_master_context.cpp:676]: Failed creating fence

I guess you can try update GPU drivers, check temps and 12v voltage or things like that when it crashes. Change settings to lower

You can also try switch the game from DC11 to Vulkan render mode.
