Sim won't get her menstrual period.

I'm having an issue where one of my sims won't get her period despite having menstrual cycle on. A few weeks ago I remember messing around with the settings and I think I may have changed simple pregnancy to override menstrual cycle, which I think  (?) is what caused this but I'm not sure how to fix this or what setting I need to change (I've tried messing around with the settings again but I'm still not sure what I changed before). This sim no longer has the option to do a fertility test or use the period tracker app too. However, when I switched to some npc sims they had these options and were also on their period. 

Would like to know if anyone else has had or is having this same issue too and if you have any troubleshooting suggestions for me I would appreciate. Thanks in advance!
