SOS Issue - No SOS compatible skeleton

I know I'm not the first to have this issue, but every solution I've seen posted hasn't worked for me. The Player/NPC Settings tab of the SOS MCM menu will always display "No SOS compatible skeleton", preventing me from editing any actor's genitals or schlongifying the armors. I checked the SOS patch in the XPMSE installer and unchecked the skeletons in the SOS installer. This is on the latest Steam AE patch. Attaching a screenshot of the menu and my modlist (sorry in advance about the length lol)

Where IsSkeletonSOSCompatible is:

And sNiNodes[0] is defined as:

sNiNodes[0] = "NPC GenitalsBase [GenBase]"

 

So, to put that another way, whatever skeleton you're using, it doesn't have a node called "NPC GenitalsBase [GenBase]". XPMSE has one, use that like the rest of us.

I'm using XPMSE though, and I made sure to install its SOS compatibility patch. I have it at the very end of my load order because that was one of the solutions that worked for others, but it didn't work for me either.

The point of my "use XPMSE like the rest of us" comment was that whatever you think you're doing, you're not actually doing it. Meaning, you may have XPMSE installed, and it may be last (most important, overriding everything else) in your load order, but unfortunately the game disagrees with you.

 

Lots of options as to why this could be:

1. You only set XPMSE's plugins to load last, which is irrelevant in this case.
2. I do not recall installing a "SOS compatible skeleton". Maybe this is a new thing I'm not aware of, but I would try without it.
3. You do not have RaceMenu and thus no NiOverride and your Papyrus log contains errors about HasNode not being defined.
4. Using MO2? Overwrite is always last, regardless of what mod is last in the load order. You have something overriding the skeleton from here. The conflicts tab of XPMSE will reveal this.
5. If you're using Vortex, do a sanity check.
   1. Open Windows Explorer.
   2. Find your Skyrim install and the Data directory.
   3. Open the skeleton file at meshes\actors\character\character assets\skeleton.nif in NifSkope.
   4. Find the dong bone: NPC -> NPC Root -> CME Body ->NPC Pelvis -> CME Pelvis -> Genitals -> Schlong
6. If you're using MO2, do a sanity check.
   1. View the Data tab on the right.
   2. Open the skeleton file at meshes\actors\character\character assets\skeleton.nif in NifSkope.
   3. Find the dong bone: NPC -> NPC Root -> CME Body ->NPC Pelvis -> CME Pelvis -> Genitals -> Schlong
7. Find the form id of the race of your current character.
   1. Install More Informative Console.
   2. Start the game, load a save.
   3. Open the console.
   4. prid 14
   5. Find the race form id using MIC.
   6. Close the game.
   7. Open xEdit, do not alter the load order.
   8. Find your race using the form id.
   9. Find the ANAM skeleton fields.
   10. Inspect these skeleton nifs like in 3 or 4 above.
