Sexlab cum effects disappearing under the same few conditions.

A couple months back I posted the exact same problem, and ended up fixing it by following an older post, and upping my overlay count. I somehow broke the cum effects again and god knows how i've done it this time.

 

Same issues: Cum effects disappear upon going through a door, fast travelling (sometimes), loading the game, etc.

A while ago, I used to be able to fix it by toggling between 3BA SMP mode and 3BA CBPC mode. That doesn't work anymore.

When the cum effects are broken, and I add a new one, I will see it flash on for about .2 seconds, and disappear.

Randomly, they will start working again when I forget about them, when im just playing regular normal Skyrim, usually when I don't want them. I have no idea how or why or what causes them to do this.
 

I think the only mod I got that would influence this is fill her up, except I have the setting enabled for the cum overlays.

I've also upped the overlay amount from 6 to 20, so unless some bullshit mod is giving me 20+ overlays, that's not the issue.
(To anyone else coming across this with the same issue, Try upping your overlay count in your SKSE -> Plugins -> skee64.ini file. Youll see it under the section: "[Overlays/Body]". The iNumOverlays will be at 6. just set it higher. 10 or so would do. That fixed it for me until I re-broke it.)

Any new help or theories would be awesome, its not really that big of an issue for me, but god damnit I want to fix this out of spite now.

Something is overriding/removing them, or you have a rendering issue.

A thing these all have in common is that they trigger mesh updates most likely. SMP and CBPC are unlikely responsible, but the way in which you switch between these is most likely still using the age-old method of equipping a ring (or some other equippable item).

 

1. Make sure the mod you installed that turns SL's cum layers into using RM overlays instead of the vanilla overlays is still working.
2. Save a preset of your character when the cum layers are not visible, and inspect the resulting jslot file for what skin overlays you truly have applied. If the cum layers are not listed, then you don't actually have any. If they are listed but not visible ingame I would suspect some kind of rendering issue: ENB/CS/ReShade, a game engine limitation or your display adapter/driver. People have reported issues with overlays since they were invented. Some can't go higher than 2-3 overlays if I remember correctly.
