"buy strip club" interaction not working.

Clicking the "buy strip club" option in the phone or the computer just makes my sim reset their idle animation (like if you choose the "reset object" debug command) and they don't actually do anything. I have get to work, and I made sure there's a generic lot available. 

Clicking the option cancels whatever other task my sim was doing at the moment, but then nothing happens, any ideas why? 

 

Edit: every other aspect of WW ouside of the strup club gameplay appears to be working perfectly fine.

Update: it wasn't any of my other mods. For some reason having my sim at their current lot made them unable to buy a strip club, when I moved the household to a different lot the interaction suddenly worked. 
The lot I had them on is residential rental I built, made 3 townhouses with my sim living in one of them. I have no idea why that caused this error but now that the club has been purchased I think it should work fine now.
