Best expansion packs

Hi everyone.

 

The only official expansion pack I've bought is Get To Work because it's needed for WW strip clubs, but I quite enjoyed the difference it made to basic gameplay too. I've seen a few lists around the internet of the best expansion packs, but they're all written from a vanilla gameplay perspective. I'm not going to buy loads of expansion packs - even at places like CDkeys they're pretty expensive. So if I was to only add one or two more expansion packs, which do you think are the best ones to buy, both from a general gameplay perspective and for fun sexy times?

It really all depends on what you are looking for in regards to themes, and gameplay. Are you looking strictly for Wicked Whims game play or are you actually wanting to play and grow a household, or a bit of both? Are you interested in challenges? Story? Different environments? Every expansion and packs have some form of uniqueness to them, some more so than others.

Personally I deem these Expansions and packs to be my favorites:

City Living
High School Years
Snowy Escape
Vampires
Paranormal Stuff
Island Living
Spa Day
Get Together

Thanks for the reply, that's really useful! I think I'm mostly wanting to play, grow my household, and generally make the game a bit more immersive. I think in particular I might give High School Years a go, as it seems silly that I can follow my adult sims to work but can't do the same for teens going to school.
