Firerune999 Posted August 27, 2024 Posted August 27, 2024 (edited) Hi everyone, I'm encountering some frustrating issues in my game that I hope someone can help me resolve. Whenever I drop some custom weapons or shields, they don't behave as expected. Their collision radius seems way too large, causing them to get in the way and sometimes block paths unnecessarily. Additionally, instead of falling naturally and rotating like they should, they often remain "floating" in place, ignoring normal physics. The prints below show what i mean: I've also noticed a strange issue with certain armors. If an NPC wearing one of these armors is decapitated, the armor itself seems to merge with the head, and it appears as if the armor is also being "decapitated" from the body. This creates a really odd visual glitch that breaks immersion. Firerune999 Posted September 15, 2024 Author Posted September 15, 2024 Well, since no one even bothered to try to help me, i fixed (partially) my problem. I didn't take a look at the armor .nifs yet, but to fix the weapons and shields, i found functional shields and weapons that had a shape similar to the problematic ones, then i deleted the BSTriShapes from the functional files, replaced them by the BSTriShapes from the problematic files, and saved over them.
Firerune999 Posted September 16, 2024 Author Posted September 16, 2024 (edited) I fixed every damn weapon and armor that were problematic, i think my brain just melted, like if it wasn't enough that i had to convert EVERY armor to SE and redo ALL hdt .xml files to fit hdt SMP. I'm astounded that the mod's author wasn't able to simply make a version for SE with hdt SMP compatibility and fix these stupid broken physics for weapons, i mean, if you spend so much time converting armors and weapons from DS3, BDO and Bless to Skyrim, at least make it properly, and more importantly, make it to SE, because believe it or not, the mod author STILL makes his armors for LE to this day and REFUSES to do to SE, so i'm done with downloading anymore stuff from him, since i have to spend so much of my time doing the dirty work he refuses to do. Edit: Oh, i forgot to mention that there are also a lot of weapons which don't have bloodblade and effectblade meshes on them, so i had to open them in bodyslide and make these meshes myself, otherwise they wouldn't have blood on them when hitting someone or enchantment shaders on them. Man, the inconsistency in those modpacks make me so mad Edited September 16, 2024 by Firerune999
